Can I be real with you today? This week has been an extremely stressful week for me but one that caused me to think. I was thinking about the limitations that have been placed on my life and who put them there.
I couldn’t help but feel that I kept reaching for new goals, but I felt that the power to accomplish them was in someone else’s hands and it caused me to feel that I was lacking in some areas. I don’t like feeling that way and I had to check myself and remind myself who and whose I am.
I know that I’m extraordinary and I know where I’m gifted and anointed. That’s not something I should feel I have to prove to win people’s approval, but something that will naturally shine through my work and my words. Yet this week I felt like the only way to move forward was to prove myself worthy or kiss a little hiney.
But I soon came to realize that the problem wasn’t me but the result of what happens when the wrong people have “power” in their hands. They feel as though they are the authority and the have the attitude that no one does anything unless they say so.
Which caused me to think what would I do if I was in an a position of power? Which then quickly led to me remembering that I was but I had a different type power. My power is one of extreme influence and impact. My ability to mentor and share positive messages with the masses is my super power!
Nobody has the power to control you and the levels of happiness and success that you experience in life. We are all born with unlimited potential and we all have access to the same unlimited amount of abundance, happiness and success.
The one thing I realized that every great person has in common, (this includes both you and I), is that we have the power to experience unlimited and uncommon success once we learn that the power is in our hands.
Unleash your super power today! It doesn’t reside in a title or a position but in what you do and what you do it for! If you’re a young person, you don’t have to wait until you get older. If you’re old, it’s not too late. As long as there is breath in your body you are fully capable of sharing what you have with the world.
We have to release our small minded thinking and remember that we serve a limitless God who has equipped us with the people, tools, and resources that we need to have an amazing life!
So if you’re feeling very bottom of the totem-pole-ish today, don’t worry because you’re not! It’s a matter of your outlook on your own life. And one lesson life has taught me is that you can’t change other people but you can sure change you and how you respond to people.
You have to wake up everyday with a mindset that today is another page in the book of your life, and you can either fill it with amazing experiences or you can wait for them to happen to you.
What type of person will you decide to become today? A looker or a leaper? Take a chance. Step out on faith and affirm that you are awesome and it’s time to let the world know that. Reclaim any power that you may have released to the wrong people and places.
Stop waiting for the approval of man and realize that YOU CAN (always have and always will)!
